Carlos Serrano is a Colombian born musician. He has completed a masters degree  in Classical Guitar at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Carlos is a prize winner of the 19th Annual FIU Concerto Competition and holds a Bachelors Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Florida International University. His commitment to the guitar and talent have enabled him to perform in master classes given by guitar virtuosos such as Shin-Ichi Fukuda,  Aniello Desiderio, Ricardo Gallen, David Russell, Pepe Romero, Manuel Barrueco and Baroque music specialist Anthony Newman among many others. In addition, he was granted an honorable mention at the 2016 South Florida Young Artist competition.

Carlos Serrano has performed in many events presented by organizations such as The Miami Classical Guitar Society, Marcus Theaters, The Milwaukee Classical guitar Society, Perla de Esperanza Foundation, Florida Guitar Foundation, Guitar Sarasota and the Madison Guitar Society. Besides these events, Carlos has performed with the Milwaaukee Mandolin Orchestra, FIU Miami Guitar Orchestra, FIU Jazz Guitar Ensemble and the FGF Guitar Ensemble. Carlos Serrano has studied with Rene Izquierdo, Federico Bonacossa, Rafael Padron and guitarist/composer Mesut Özgen.

Carlos has held teaching positions at the Grammy-award nominated Latino Arts Strings program, the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and the Superior Academy of Music (Miami). Currently, he works as General Music Instructor at Gertrude K. Edelman Sabal Palm Elementary and holds the Guitar Instructor position at Barry University.
