PRELIMINARY ROUND SUBMISSIONS
The deadline for preliminary round submissions is Saturday, February 7, 2022 at 12:00 pm EST.
First, complete online registration payment (registration fees are non-refundable.). After completing payment, you will be provided a “record locator” (such as ABCDEF) in your eTicket. Then, submit your preliminary round application here. Please enter all the fields, including the preliminary round video link and the “record locator” in the appropriate field of this form here.
The preliminary round application video must be submitted as a newly recorded, unedited live performance uploaded on YouTube.com (public or unlisted). A direct link of the video should be submitted in the application form. Even though it need not be at a professional-level production value, it is highly recommended to use a good sound system to record the audio separately from the video and the audio should be embedded in the video before uploading on YouTube. However, if any slightest audio and video synchronization issue is detected in your video, you will risk being disqualified.
Submitted video must clearly show the applicant’s face, hands, and guitar from the frontal view with a stationary camera without zooming or panning. Background on the video must be simple with a light color (remember to place the lighting source behind the camera).
Preliminary round video should have a free choice program with a minimum of two (2) contrasting styles, not to exceed ten (10) minutes of total duration.
Applicants MUST introduce themselves at the start of the video and state the following:
“My name is (state your name here as it appears on the application form). This video is my submission for the preliminary round of the 2022 Miami International GuitART Festival Concert Artist Performance Competition.”
The introduction MUST BE part of the unedited video. Participants are not allowed to add an introduction to the video of the performance.
The title of the video on YouTube must follow this exact template:

The description of the video on YouTube must follow this exact template:
