Virtuoso Turkish pianist Sinan Çayır (b. 1992, Ankara) is a concert pianist with vast experience on the stage throughout the world. Winner of the 2018 FIU Concerto Competition, Sinan began his piano studies in Ankara Conservatory, and continued in Minsk Conservatory, where he studied with Misha Dacic.
He worked with Walter Ponce, Francesco Libetta, Ilya Itin and Jorge Luis Prats at Miami Summer Piano Academy. In 2010, he was awarded to study at the Belarussian State Music Academy, Piano Department in Minsk under the guidance of noted Russian pianists Valery Shatsky and Igor Olovnikov, and in 2014 with Misha Dacic in Mersin State Conservatory. He won the second and the ‘best Adnan Saygun interpreter’ prize at the 2nd International Ahmet Adnan Saygun Piano Contest in Gumusluk, Turkey in 2013.
Sinan also studied with the legendary pianist Kemal Gekic at FIU and became closely involved with the Miami International Piano Festival. He currently teaches at the Orpheus Music Academy where he is the co-founder together with pianist Vera Garcia.
